Eliza Elena Jetzer

Eliza Elena Jetzer is a young German artist who has been living and working in the USA for the past 7 years.

 

Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Eliza moved to New York City in 2015 where she fell in love with the individuality of the city and its people.

 

The beauty of a person by expressing their uniqueness, flaws and naturalness is a major source of inspiration for her paintings.

 

While watching the people around her she pays attention to details such as cigarettes, hats, voices and body language.

She notices the joy, the sadness, the strength, the loneliness and the intent in a posture, a face, a gesture, which she brings precisely yet painterly to the canvas.

 

Eliza paints from her apartment in Lower Manhattan and uses mostly acrylic on canvas, the same materials with which she began to develop her artistic passion as a child.
